Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an energetic, compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with excellent communication/interpersonal skills and a sharp attention to detail. This position is responsible for providing the highest standard of care to all surgical patients. Clinical experience in a surgical specialty in the outpatient environment is preferred. An interest in skin cancer and aesthetic procedures is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.

Scrub Tech

Bangor Plastic and Hand Surgery, a private plastic surgery practice, is seeking a full time Certified Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team. Along with handling instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during surgical procedures, this position will also provide medical assistance to support our physicians during in-office patient visits.

Requirements
Graduate of accredited scrub tech program
Surgical Technologist Certification
Minimum 2 years experience as Surgical Technologist
Current BLS certification.

Our surgery center offers NO On-Call, NO weekends and NO Holidays.

Medical Biller/Scheduler

Bangor Plastic and Hand Surgery is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill a full time roll in our Billing/Accounts Receivable department.

Responsibilities
•Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required for procedures.
•Checking eligibility and benefits verification for treatments, hospitalizations, and procedures.
•Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining any missing information.
•Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.
•Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary
•Researching and appealing denied claims.
•Answering all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts.
•Setting up patient payment plans and work collection accounts.
•Creating month end patient accounts receivable reports.
•Monthly reconciliation of surgery and office charges.
•Assist practice schedulers as needed.

Practice Scheduler

The successful Bangor Plastic and Hand Surgery applicant will have strong time management skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities and the ability to work closely with providers and staff in a high volume, fast paced private practice. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills required.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Greet customers at check in and check out.
  • Manage incoming telephone lines.
  • Schedule patient visits for multiple providers.
  • Update and maintain correct patient data, insurance information and collect co-pays or outstanding balances.
  • Schedule, maintain and update current information on physician/provider schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed.
  • Process insurance referrals
  • Scan documents and file appropriately.
  • Maintain office supplies and inventory.
  • Comply with all HIPAA and OSHA regulations and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications and Skills
Two year prior medical office experience and medical terminology are required. Must be proficient in computer applications.

Nurse Injector

Busy cosmetic practice is looking for an experienced Nurse Injector to join our growing team of expert injectors. The ideal candidate is someone with 3-5 years of experience post-training in Botox / Filler injections. The applicant should have exceptional attention to detail, a calming and friendly demeanor and superior customer service skills.


Responsibilities and Duties

Candidate will be responsible for recommending and creating treatment plans, educating clients on all services and product lines as well as performing aesthetic rejuvenation using neurotoxins and injectable filler. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. This is a per diem position with the potential for full time.

Operating Room Registered Nurse (Per Diem)

Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. Position requires weekdays only - no holidays, weekends, or call.

Required Skills
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold a current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Maine. Must be BLS and ACLS certified. Experience working as a circulator or recovery nurse required.
